Congratulations for the amazing and precious bird photos!
May I ask you which camera you have been using? Looks like a Leica or Olympus to me (film?), but I may be mistaken. I would ask you to frame birds closer therefore getting rid of unwanted background and maximizing minute details yet more.
I live in Brazil and it came to my knowledge there exists a unique zoo in Buenos Aires where wild animals wander freely among visitors and can be approached for photos since they are used to people and are not at all dangerous.
Keep up the good work, the photos have a fresh and candid aspect to them and are indeed very beautiful!

Earlier photos were taken with a Canon 7D, replaced April 2015 by a Canon 7D Mkii.
I mainly use a Canon EF 400mm f/5.6 L USM lens, and get as close as I can. It’s not always easy to get as close as I (and you) would like.
Not sure which zoo you mean in Bs As – the Palermo zoo has a few species wandering wild (Mara, Capybara, some ducks and geese). I can’t think of another zoo that matches your description.
